2022 Build My Future is a construction showcase for high school students. Thousands of students attend from a two-hour radius to experience all aspects of construction and design. All exhibits offer hands on activities for students to learn more about a variety of career paths as well as local companies, educational institutions, and apprenticeship programs.

SS&B's story began in August of 1969 when three friends - Kenneth Skaggs, Roy Smith - Jerry Brown joined together to start their own HVAC company. That partnership didn't last, but the company did under the late Kenneth Skaggs' guidance.
Sadly, Kenneth Skaggs passed away in 1996. A transition agreement between Kenneth's wife Sonja Skaggs and Michael & Angelia Childers was made to allow SS&B Heating and Cooling to continue operations and eventually change ownership to the Childers.
For the next 20 years, the Childers' hard work and dedication allowed the company to grow and flourish. Always maintaining the highest levels of integrity and professionalism, the company is well known and respected throughout the community.
In the fall of 2016, longtime SS&B employee Jeremy Grisham approached Mike Childers with a plan of succession. On August 10, 2017, Jeremy Grisham took over ownership of SS&B Heating and Cooling. As an experienced HVAC professional, with nearly 19 years at SS&B alone, Mr. Grisham understands the importance of the foundation of this company and continues to uphold its traditions of integrity and service to the community.
2019, SS&B celebrated its Golden Anniversary of 50 years in business.
